This is my first attempt at a horse...not bad :) I have been trying to paint something every day...keep the colors flowing :)

Welcome to my blog!

Discover my paintings, drawings and my love of life. I love to explore texture, color and many mediums. Most of my work is done in watercolor. (I think it has something to do with my being born in early March, but that is my own opinion :)

I have been painting since I was six. Watching my Grandmother paint aroused my curiosity, so one day, while she wasn't looking, I took her watercolors and paper. Secluded in the closet, out of eye range, I painted my first watercolor painting; a beautiful harbor at sunset. To this day, my mother won't let me have it :)

Northern California is where I call home. Surrounded by pine trees and wildlife, I am inspired daily. Daily painting is my current pursuit. In the past, I have not made time for my artistic needs and as a result I fell out of touch with my true spirit. Having a blog sure does help keep me motivated. I am exploring techniques and styles, as I am still trying to find mine. I am a wiz with color so you will see many bright paintings. Afterall, "Color is the spice of life."
